Undergraduate Students

UC Santa Barbara releases admission decisions each year in mid-March for freshman applicants and on a rolling basis from mid-March through May 1 for transfer applicants. There are two places where you can access your application information.

To get a copy of your signed acceptance letter, please submit a request to the Office of Admissions at admissions@sa.ucsb.edu.

To withdraw your application prior to an admission decision, please contact each UC campus to which you have applied. To decline your acceptance to UCSB, please indicate that you will not be attending on your UCSB Application Status portal.

Students accepted into the College of Letters & Science Honors Program or College of Engineering Honors Program will see an honors badge at the top of their UCSB Application Status portal after admission decisions are released.

Graduate Students

Your application status is available online using the email address the password you used when you started your application.
