Our Best Answer - Do I have to declare a major to apply?
Declaring a Major During Application Process
Freshman/firs-year applicants can select a major or mark undeclared when applying to UCSB. Transfer applicants must choose a major when applying as undeclared is not an option. A full list of UCSB majors can be found on the admissions webpage. Additional information on choosing a major can be found in the General Catalog. For information on changing a major after applying but before enrolling at UCSB, visit the Office of Admissions website.
