Our Best Answer - What is verification and how long will it take?
Verification
Verification is the process by which the Department of Education or the California Student Aid Commission selects certain applicants to provide additional documentation to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This is done in order to confirm the accuracy of the information provided on your financial aid application.
We notify students by email if they are selected. Students can view their required documents by logging into My Aid Status.
Verification processing begins in mid April and continues to take place throughout the summer. Generally, files are completed within 30-45 days of receipt.
